Very frustrating experience. During my initial appointment, there was an exceedingly long wait time (waited over 90 minutes after scheduled appointment before any work was started), and then there was an insurance fiasco that should have been easily avoided. Confirmed with the office and billing staff twice prior to having work done that services were in-network and covered. Several days later, my insurance company says the office is out of network, and I receive a huge bill. Come to find out that while the office itself is in-network, they have one particular dentist who is not in network. This was the dentist I ended up seeing. Denton Modern Dentistry said that their benefits department did not verify the dentist who I saw was in network, and therefore they just assumed. I was told several times on my visit that the front desk is understaffed, and unfortunately, it shows. The dentists and hygienists are terrific and do good work. And while the front office is kind and empathetic, it doesn’t excuse providing incorrect information based on assumptions, overbooking and making patients wait unattended for long periods of time. For their sake, I hope they get the front office situated. But we will not be back.
My first visit as a new patient was good. However, when scheduling my follow up appointment, the staff gave me very poor assistance. Their staff had issues communicating with me and my insurance, understanding insurance, and more. I spent a month and a half trying to get one appointment scheduled, and today they even ignored my calls. They definitely provided me with poor customer service to the point I'll never go back there. If the dentist who initially saw me wasn't so nice, I would've given them the worst possible review.
My teeth are clean!! Waited for too long during COVID and had a few issues with my gums. The team did a great job! The dentist with the numbing shots took great care not to hurt me while numbing. The dental hygienist was very thorough with the deep cleaning . Superior care!!!
I would give them 0 stars if I can. Absolutely terrible communication, just moved to Texas and never will be back! Terrible people, terrible dentist! No expectations set! Go elsewhere. Don’t be fooled by the easy scheduling. Edit: You only respond to act like you're trying to improve the process! I already have an appointment with another dentist office next week! They set the correct expectations! Please ensure you have sent the xrays to them.
Dr. Garcia did a great work with my daughter’s last minute visit. She lost her retainer and the office was able get her in right away, Dr. Garcia was very patient with her to take the impressions, my daughter is terrified of Dentist; but she was able to go in and out quickly and got her retainer again. I will definitely recommend Denton Modern Dentistry and Dr. Garcia.
